Malaria is a disease caused by parasites. In 2015 the World Health Organization (WHO) estimated there were 212 million malaria cases in the world with 429 thousand of them died. To deal with this, researchers have tried 30 years to develop the vaccine.
Now a glimmer of hope arises with the latest WHO report which states that the first malaria vaccine program was launched in Malawi, Africa. The vaccine named RTS, S is given to children under the age of two years.
